The Future of Agriculture Today

Growponics Fully Automated Hydroponics Greenhouse Technology

Greenhouse Technology
Our automated, computerized, and controlled hydroponics system offers a sustainable greenhouse designed to grow commercial quantities of hydroponics, pesticide/ herbicide-free, green leaf vegetables, while making optimal use of resources such as water, energy, labor and land.

Growponics’ technology aims to automate the “Food in the Field” side of the food chain. Through automation, Growponics eliminates most of the human costs of production in certain target sectors, which represents a large component of overall input costs. The result is an environmentally friendly designed to boost productivity dramatically, as compared to traditional, manual mechanized processes.

The aim is achieved through a unique and innovative combination of mechanical and computer operations, presented in a user-friendly configuration, which allows use by operators with basic abilities.

Productivity is the key to success in the modern agricultural economy. Growponics believes that automation technologies must move beyond conventional concepts, addressing all deficiencies in the production process.

Growponics’ automated solutions are designed to solve the deficiencies of precision farming and other emerging agro-automated technologies by completely redesigning the physical makeup of the field – moving the field into a new, compact environment.

The system is a self-contained environmentally friendly growing factory.

The basic unit consists of a central station hall with attached units of 36-meter floating beds. Each bed has a rolling mechanism to provide access to all plants as they are carried to the bed technicians who tend the plants, and allows space for growing thousands of plants. The central station is used as a clean area for seeding, transplanting, harvesting and packing either manually or automatically.

Apart from the numerous lettuce varieties that can be grown, the system is suitable for all types of leafy vegetables including cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, onion, garlic and herbs.

Planting, harvesting and packaging can be upgraded in the future to a fully automated level, in which all the work is performed entirely by intelligent robots, monitored by an advanced control center, eliminating the need for costly manpower and training. Where necessary, a specially developed fluorescent light can eliminate the need of sunlight. The computer monitors the environment, keeping the oxygen, artificial light, carbon dioxide, humidity, temperature, minerals level and other factors at an optimum. In such a closed, monitored environment there is no need for harmful pesticides and herbicides.
